About the Opportunity

At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. To help us achieve this we are seeking 2 Park Attendants to join our team.

Join our Parks Team and make a difference in our local community! We're looking for a dedicated and motivated Park Attendant to join us in maintaining and improving Council's parks, reserves, sports fields, road reserves, cemeteries, gardens and beaches.

In this exciting and varied role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our local parks and open spaces. You'll undertake a range of tasks, from garden maintenance to asset upkeep of park infrastructure. As a valued member of our team, you'll help to create safe and enjoyable outdoor spaces for our community to enjoy.

On a typical day, your duties will include:

  • Undertaking maintenance in a range of Parks and Open spaces including parks, reserves, sports fields and cemeteries.
  • Mowing, edging, weeding and pruning gardens and lawns.
  • Tend to garden maintenance including treating pests, diseases and weeds.
  • Cleaning and maintaining park facilities, including playgrounds.

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)

Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $59,178.69 per annum with the opportunity for competency-based progression.

Allowance: Adverse Working Level 1
