Your Day-to-Day as a Parking Officer
- Conduct parking enforcement duties while promoting legal parking practises within the Georges River Council area
- Engage with the community to provide information and support regarding parking regulations
- Prepare and submit accurate reports in accordance with Council's Standard Operating Procedures
- Work collaboratively with your Parking Team to ensure efficient operations
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate solutions with a friendly and professional approach
- Utilise your keen observation skills to monitor compliance with parking regulations
- Maintain accurate records of parking activities and incidents
- Adapt to changing environments and work outdoors in various weather conditions
The successful candidate will have
- Extensive experience in a customer facing or customer service-related roles
- Ability to solve problems through initiative and effective decision making
- Accurate written and strong verbal communication, including an ability to write concise and accurate reports
- Sound negotiation, conflict resolution and mediation skills
- Sound computer literacy including Windows, word, and smart phone systems
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work outside of and in addition to normal hours of work
- Minimum Class C Drivers Licence
- Physical mobility in order to meet all of the inherent requirements of the position, including working outdoors in all-weather conditions
- Proven ability to work well within a team environment and follow reasonable work directions in an accurate and timely manner
- A demonstrated commitment to EEO and WHS principles
Desirable
- Understanding and awareness of the applicable components of local government law enforcement and parking rules
- Relevant tertiary and/or local government law enforcement qualifications
- Experience in the use of the SEINS system
- Previous Local Government Experience
