Your Role:

As a Parks Operator-Irrigation, you’ll actively manage day-to-day irrigation operation and maintenance of the City’s parklands, landscapes, street trees, public places, horticultural presentations, boutique precinct gardens and ensure horticultural assets thrive. Reporting to the Parks-Irrigation Supervisor, you’ll be instrumental in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test, repair and troubleshoot irrigation systems;
  • Monitor pumping systems operation and measure irrigation system performance;
  • Ensure that irrigation system repairs are carried out in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and current best practice; and
  • Maintain compliant work practices in accordance with all relevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks and all other relevant Council policies and procedures, and other frameworks.
