About the Role
The City of Ryde is a modern local government organisation with a workforce of over 500 employees who deliver a wide range of vital services to our community. Your role will include partnering with the business to provide advice and support in HR-related functions including recruitment, employee relations matters, performance, and disciplinary matters.
You will provide guidance to managers on organisational design including structures, positions grading and support with workplace change whilst maintaining council policies and procedures.
About You
You are a dynamic HR practitioner who enjoys partnering with key stakeholders in the delivery of strategic and operational People and Cultural management support and advice. You also possess strong organisational skills and have the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the business.
In addition, you will also have:
- Significant experience in managing Employee/Industrial Relations issues include carrying out workplace investigations
- Strong knowledge of contemporary People and Culture practices
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting Awards and legislative provisions and providing advice to key stakeholders
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships throughout all levels of the organisation
- Strong organisational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
- Well-developed written communication skills with experience preparing reports for senior management
- Sound knowledge of Commonwealth, State, and Local Government legislation impacting HR and IR is highly regarded
Your commencing annual salary will commence from 110k plus Superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
