The role
Kickstart your career with CBCity! The People and Performance Trainee role offers hands-on experience in Human Resources, Safety and Business Administration, supporting key areas like recruitment, payroll, safety and wellbeing, employee engagement and risk management.
As a trainee, you’ll actively contribute to the planning and delivery of employee engagement activities, create compelling content for presentations and communications, and coordinate training programs and leadership forums. You’ll also play a key role in managing Council’s Great Start and TAG programs, supporting the development of trainees, apprentices, graduates, and cadets. Additionally, you’ll also assist with engagement events, training coordination, onboarding, and administrative tasks, while supporting the delivery of projects aligned with workforce strategies. You will
- Be a current Year 12 student, recent school leaver, or early career professional (within 2 years of graduation).
- Have demonstrated interest in administration, business operations or human resources.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Be able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Be committed to ongoing professional development and learning.
The salary range for this opportunity commences at $35,729 (T3 at 17 years of age) or $41,771 (T4 at 18 years or completed HSC) + 11.5% super.
