Title: Place Coordinator, Temporary - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $98787.69 to $114807.35 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Leaseback Vehicle available to successful applicant

The Planning and Place division is responsible for a range of functions which support the whole of Council to deliver high quality services to our Northern Beaches bushland, rural and coastal community. The division comprises of Development Assessment, Strategic and Place Planning, Place & Economic Development and Environmental Compliance.

Our opportunity:
The key focus areas of this role include: 

  1. Research, build knowledge, advise, create, implement, and evaluate Placemaking activities across the LGA which support the economic vitality of the Northern Beaches, with a focus on time, cost and quality.
  2. Act as a point of contact for the community, navigating council processes and assist with the management of the Business Concierge Service.
  3. Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders that results in the positive profile of placemaking and aids the delivery of projects that support positive outcomes and promotion of our local places across the LGA. 
  4. Monitor and provide strategic data insights that support effective evidence-based decision making, ensuring tracking of issues and reporting is current and up to date.
  5. Work independently and in a team environment, developing and maintaining co-operative relationships ensuring the Team Leader Placemaking is informed of issues which may affect staff, the community and/or the delivery of placemaking services.
