MidCoast Council is seeking a highly organised and motivated Planning Certificate Support Officer to join our GIS and Land Information Team. This position plays a vital role in assisting with the production and delivery of s10.7 Planning Certificates, contributing to the efficient administration of land and planning information services. If you have strong administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams, we encourage you to apply.
In this role, you will work closely with the Planning Certificate Applications Officer, GIS Technicians, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of planning certificate requests. Your responsibilities will include assisting with certificate production, managing administrative tasks, and responding to customer enquiries. You will also help maintain the integrity of land and planning data, contributing to the delivery of high-quality service to the community.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. While experience in GIS systems and local government planning processes is desirable, a willingness to learn and develop in these areas is equally important. The package: Commencing salary package circa $60,900 p.a. plus superannuation.
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent Full Time. We are open to offering part-time hours or a job share arrangement for the right candidate.
