Description

Council is seeking experienced and reliable plant operators to join the road construction and maintenance teams. The successful applicants will have high level competence plant operation to support the roads team in their commitment to maintaining a safe road network through the Shire.  

 

The Roads teams undertake the following civil works throughout the Shire:

  • construction and maintenance of State highways and Council roads (sealed and unsealed)
  • traffic control and emergency response
  • pot-hole patching, heavy patching and re-sheeting
  • pipe and culvert installations

 

Multiple positions available 

 

You will require the following qualifications for this role

  • HR/MR/HC Driver’s License (dependent on role)
  • Construction Induction (White) Card
  • Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plans qualifications

  

The successful applicants will be required to camp out of town throughout the Shire during the week and be available to work extended hours, including weekends.

 

These full time positions are classified at Band 1, Level 3/4 (up to $36.07/hr) under Council’s salary system in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working a nine-day fortnight (38 hours per week).
