About the role

This position is a full-time role in the Batemans Bay Maintenance team.

Your main duties will include:

  • Operating and maintaining plants items and machinery.
  • Physical labouring and other construction/maintenance manual activities.
  • Completing construction/maintenance projects alongside contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Doing your part in the ongoing improvement and quality of Council’s construction and maintenance services.

About you

Our top candidate will like working outdoors and have experience with safe and proper use of plant items and machinery. Your common sense, good attitude and clear communication skills will make you a strong applicant for the role. Please make sure your application shows clear examples of the following:

  • Ability to do physical labour tasks, be a team-player and communicate easily with contractors and the public.
  • Experience in a construction/maintenance environment and familiar with machinery limits and outputs.
  • Good literacy/numeracy skills and keen to take part in further training offered by Council.

Salary Information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $2,593.04 to $2,794.97 gross per fortnight consisting of:

  • $2,287.76 to $2,468.86 base salary
  • $37.84 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance
  • $267.44 to $288.27 superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)

An offer of employment for this position is subject to medical clearance to verify that you are safely able to undertake the duties of the position.
