Plant Operator Open Spaces
Permanent Full Time Opportunity
38-hour week with a 9-day fortnight (Rostered Day Off)
Salary Ranging from $63,380.20 - $73,658.52 + 11.5% Superannuation per annum. (Depending on Experience & Qualifications)

 

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to undertake a variety of operational works using plant and machinery to deliver routine maintenance of Council’s assets and infrastructure within the Parks & Open Spaces. The role involves maintenance of our open space parks and reserves. Using a ride on mower, driving a truck and trailer, mowing, basic parks maintenance, pruning and gardening.

The Essential Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience in the safe operation of medium to large plant such as trucks and trailers commercial ride on mowers, tractors, small motorised and electric gardening equipment and machinery.
  2. Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devices including iPad effectively, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable field productivity and scheduling based systems to facilitate day- to-day operations.
  3. Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
  4. Hold and maintain MR Drivers Licence, WHS Induction Card, with a willingness to obtain within 12months of employment Safe Handling of Sharps and ChemCert AQF III.
  5. Complete a Pre-employment medical prior to commencement
