  • Salary Range $82k - $98k + 11.5% Super + Allowances

The Role

Reporting to the Executive Manager Infrastructure Operations, the primary purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient day to day operation of the mechanical workshop servicing and repairs which includes coordinating and supervising the team.

About You

You will have a motor mechanic or plant mechanic qualification and will have significant experience with truck and car repairs as well as plant repair and maintenance. You will display excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate your commitment to positively contributing to the team culture at Hawkesbury Council.

Essential Criteria

  • Motor Mechanic or Plant Mechanic Qualification
  • Motor Vehicle Repair Industry Council Trade Certificate
  • Vehicle Registration Certificate
  • Extensive experience with truck and car repairs and maintenance
  • Extensive experience with construction plant repair and maintenance
  • Experience writing reports
  • Physically fit to undertake the requirements of the position
  • Experience supervising staff
  • The right to live and work in Australia
  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • WHS General Construction Work in NSW
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Successful applicants will be required to undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
