The Role

The Principal Project Manager is responsible for leading a team of Project Managers, overseeing the development and execution and delivery of multiple projects to ensure project delivery is undertaken in accordance with the Cassowary Coast Regional Council Project Management Framework (PMF) and organisational priorities.

About You

You are a qualified professional with tertiary education in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management. You have extensive experience in end-to-end project delivery, contract management, and superintendency. You are either certified as a CPSPM or CPPD or have the ability to acquire the certification.

Your strong leadership skills enable you to manage teams and foster a high-performance culture. You have a proven track record in delivering multiple civil infrastructure projects on time and within quality standards. You are proficient in Australian Standards (AS2124, AS4000, AS4902), stakeholder negotiation, and problem-solving. Your communication skills are highly developed, along with strong computer literacy in MS Project, Excel, and Word. You possess in-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, management systems, and continuous improvement programs.

A current Queensland Class C driver’s license is required.
