Council has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven Procurement Business Partner, that is looking for a challenging and satisfying role that supports staff and key stakeholders.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Procurement Business Partner will facilitate the delivery of procurement activities to various business unit(s), including (but not limited to) tendering, quote generation, review and release of purchase orders, training, reporting and general guidance/assistance.
The position reports to the Strategic Procurement and Contracts Manager and is fast paced with a dynamic work environment which positively contributes to our people and community. The role sits in a highly professional team managing diverse portfolios.
ABOUT YOU
The desired candidate will be highly motivated, and process-driven, with high attention to detail. You will have extensive experience in managing high volume of priorities, including procurement of goods and services and knowledge of the NSW Government procurement policies and procedures.
The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential areas:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications relevant to purchasing/procurement, and/or relevant work experience in a purchasing/procurement role.
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation, administration, and management of tender and contract documents.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, with a focus on facilitating purchasing or project delivery outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in the effective application of contract and procurement policies, practices, and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and responding to strategic improvement opportunities, in relation to purchasing and procurement activities.
- Working knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993 (and associated regulations) and its application to procurement procedures and practices.
- Hold a Class C Drivers Licence.

Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.
