The Role

Reporting to the Manager Project Delivery and based in Windsor NSW, this position is responsible to facilitate the procurement process and assist with contract management in alignment with Council’s framework. The position also provides prompt and efficient project administration to various projects, manages accurate records and attends to a range of enquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.

About You

You will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively problem solve and negotiate with a range of stakeholders. You will have a demonstrated organisational ability in order to adhere to legislative and organisational deadlines.

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business / Office Administration/ Procurement or relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in an procurement administration / clerical role
  • Computer literacy skills and ability to use Microsoft Office and corporate software applications
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • The right to live and work in Australia
  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • WHS General Construction Work in NSW
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Successful applicants will be required to undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with project management and procurement processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of payment claims and variations
  • Previous work within the construction industry or Civil projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of Local Government functions and operations
