About the role

Contribute to creating an Extraordinary Wollongong through the successful delivery of a wide range of projects.

We are delighted to be offering an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to be part of our highly motivated Major Projects Delivery team.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to use and expand your management and hard engineering skills across a broad ranging infrastructure development program. We have an experienced team of engineers and managers to draw upon to support in the delivery of your projects, expanding your technical understanding and experience. We operate under a quality certified management system that provides the supporting management infrastructure to successfully deliver your projects and further your knowledge of core project management functions.

With your relevant building or civil engineering degree, you will utilise your project management experience and provide effective management and coordination through the project lifecycle, including relationships with all of the relevant stakeholders including community members.

This is a Permanent Full-Time position. Salary from $102,533.29 up to $128,116.63 per annum plus superannuation and a lease for private use of a motor vehicle. A 3.5% Civil Liability allowance may also apply (Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience, and qualifications).

What you will be doing

Our team is responsible for managing and coordinating a wide range of building and civil engineering projects such as: construction of roads and bridges, retaining walls, stormwater infrastructure and many types of community facilities.

You will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes with a strategic vision and contribute to a multidisciplinary and collaborative team to maximise service outcomes for the community.

As a Project Manager, you will manage projects from the design development phase through to completion of construction and handover to clients, including:

  • Project Concept and Design
  • Quotation and Tender
  • Project Administration
  • Contract Administration
  • Finalisation of the Project
  • WHS Responsibilities

About you

As a highly motivated Project Manager, you will be committed to help create an Extraordinary Wollongong by leading with courage, openness, and curiosity. You bring high standards of service delivery and stakeholder engagement within a project management setting.

You enjoy working in a diverse team with a commitment to staff wellbeing, safety, training, and competency. You bring extensive experience and qualifications in civil and/or building project management and construction and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
