The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an organised individual to undertake detailed planning and delivery of the Children’s Services Expansion project in line with the approved project plan, including representing BVSC in the management of consultants and contractors. 

As Project Manager in Children Services, you will undertake high level infrastructure planning including determining scope, specifications, and budget estimates for the expansion of Council’s Children’s Services in Bega and Eden; as well as develop a project timeline to support the future expansion. You will participate in the assessment of tenders and procurement of materials and services as required.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a relevant tertiary qualification in project management or a related discipline, or a minimum of five years relevant experience (indicative). We also require a NSW Working with Children Check clearance and current NSW Class C drivers licence.

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to work independently and to be able to complete projects within agreed budget and timeframe, as well as manage contractors and consultants to achieve project outcomes.
  • Experience in collaborating and partnering with other organisations in the delivery of programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business plans which include high level financial modelling involving grants and other potential funding sources.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Benefits

This is a fixed term part time position working 21 hours per week for a period of 8 months.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $113,530.64* gross per annum (paid pro-rata), comprising of:

  • $1,958.10* per week base salary
  • $225.18* per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)

*Remuneration is paid pro-rata for part time employees.
