Cobar is a rural mining community located in western New South Wales, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city living. Council owns and operates the Cobar Shire & TAFE Library, Great Cobar Museum, Lilliane Brady Village (aged care facility), Children's Services, Youth & Community Centre as well as works depots in Euabalong and Cobar.

The successful candidate will need to be highly organised with great time management skills. We need a self-motivated and resourceful individual who is willing to adapt in an environment of changing priorities, and as happy to work independently as they are working as part of a team.
Your strong computerised administration skills combined with your ability to quickly build trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will see you thrive in this role.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Support Officer will contribute to the good governance of project management, ensuring compliance with Council's procurement and contract management policies and procedures and as your confidence grows, may also take ownership of smaller projects.
Administrative responsibilities include managing databases, website and social media updates, procurement activities, preparing agendas, recording and distributing meeting minutes, as well as generalist administration tasks.
This role is full-time working nine-days a fortnight, 35 hours per week, however the hours and work days are negotiable for the right candidate.
The remuneration includes a salary range for from $60,270 - $69,780 ($33.12 - $38.34/hr) plus superannuation, with employment terms and conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
