Want to be a part of delivering a substantial $250m capital projects program? We have a Project Support Officer position available in our Project Management Office which provides strategic and governance oversight of projects being delivered right across Council. We are looking for someone with project management and governance experience, or transferrable skills in finance, reporting, communications, data analysis or similar areas. If you are interested in expanding your skills and building new skills, this is a great opportunity to be part of a team with oversight of the largest program of works Council has ever delivered
This role will support:
- Planning, tracking, monitoring and progress reporting of capital projects through use of communication skills, data analytics, a project management system and other relevant software programs (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Improved project management capability and project delivery across the organisation through a knowledge of the principles of project management and an ability to integrate this with council’s strategic direction
- Project evaluation, including incorporating lessons learned into future projects
The team operates in a high paced environment with a strong focus on customer service. We work to tight internal governance and grant reporting deadlines, so you will also need a demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise competing tasks
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $86,547 gross per annum
+ 11.5% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary (if eligible)
+ annual award increase
