About the Role

In this role, you will assist in the implementation of various property management functions in respect of Council’s diverse property portfolio (community buildings, parks buildings, libraries, affordable housing, outdoor dining, commercial properties and the like).

This position is responsible for the administration and maintenance of Council’s electronic Property Leasing database, coordinating of maintenance and asset management related tasks and liaising with internal and external stakeholders through the preparation of reports, letters, memos in respect of property matters.

 

About You

You bring a broad skill set in property and tenancy management, with experience supporting tenant marketing, identifying and selecting tenants, and managing agent appointments. You’re confident handling lease and licence negotiations and documentation—both new and renewals—as well as conducting rent and fee reviews and tenancy compliance inspections. You’re also experienced in budgeting, reviewing KPIs, implementing policies, and managing statutory property matters.

 

In addition, you will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience in property management & property maintenance of large diverse property portfolios.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and preparation of leases, licences and other tenure documentation including procurement and contract supervision.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and a track record of building and managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and negotiating successful outcomes in situations where there are competing interests.
  • Sound knowledge of budgeting, account processing and invoicing.
  • Experience in MS office, computerised records and property databases.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant property legislation, regulations & procedures
  • Demonstrated negotiation and Customer Centric skills in the identification and satisfaction of customer needs and conflict resolution.
  • Sound written communication skills including the ability to prepare correspondence, reports and submissions.
  • Sound verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise with Council staff, government agencies, contractors and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence

 

Your commencing annual salary will range from $81,854.82 to $100,272.15 + superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
