Position Overview
As a Public Place Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in keeping our parks, town centres, and public facilities spotless and welcoming for all residents and visitors.
Your main responsibilities will include cleaning public areas such as parks, street furniture, public toilets, and Council-owned buildings. You will ensure that all cleaning tasks are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with Council policies and procedures.
You will also be responsible for maintaining cleaning equipment, responding to customer requests promptly, and ensuring all sites have an adequate supply of cleaning materials.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a focus on customer service. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Valid Class C Driver’s Licence
- Previous experience in cleaning or related fields
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual tasks
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team

- Package: From $59,723 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Temporary full time (up to 6 months) 38 hours per week with a 9 day fortnight
