About the role
This is a permanent, full time, Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm position working 38 hours per week. Located at the South Nowra Water Depot.

Working as part of the Water Operations Team with Shoalhaven Water Utility, this role is critical in implementing quality and safety functions of the unit and ensures compliance and consistency across all water and wastewater treatment plants.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Wastewater Operations Manager, the focus of this position is to:

  • Consultation with Councils Work Health and Safety section to deliver and implement Work Health and Safety procedures, policies, and systems.
  • Assist staff with preparing specific WHS documentation.
  • Managing the Shoalhaven Waters Inspection Testing and Monitoring Plan and keeping management updated on status.
  • Inspecting/ Auditing Shoalhaven Waters adherence to WHS policies and procedures and recommending improvements.
  • Assist with incident investigations and control measure implementation

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:

  • Certificate IV in workplace Health and Safety or equivalent relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in a quality/safety related role.
  • Experience working successfully in large work groups with a diverse range of working environments.
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
