Your Role

As a Rear Loader Driver, you will play a crucial role in the timely collection of waste for residents in the Shire. You will support our Waste Services Business Unit in maintaining a cost-effective and efficient service, which is a high priority in our Waste Management Strategy.

Your responsibilities will include operating rear load trucks, performing minor repairs on bins, and ensuring that all waste collection activities are conducted safely and efficiently.

Who We’re Looking For

If you are a proactive individual with a strong commitment to safety and service excellence, we want to hear from you!

  • Current HR Class driver’s licence.
  • Prior experience in a waste collection or similar role.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Physically capable of handling manual tasks and operating technology solutions.
  • A sound understanding of the National Heavy Vehicle Law

You should be ready to embrace challenges and work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for our community. Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of the Sutherland Shire area are desirable but not required.

  • Package: $72,700 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Permanent Full-time 38 hours per week 9 day fortnight
