About the Opportunity
Are you looking for a start in records management, or perhaps returning to the workforce with relevant experience? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Records Management Officer to join our team. You will play a key role in managing Council’s corporate records, overseeing both paper and digital correspondence, sorting, registering, distributing, and securely storing records while ensuring compliance with legislation and Council policies. Your efforts will ensure the integrity and efficiency of our records management system.
In addition, you will provide expert advice, support, and training to staff on records management in line with the NSW State Records Act. This high volume role requires excellent attention to detail, computer skills, and the ability to quickly learn new systems. While experience in local government is desirable, a strong understanding of records and retention practices is essential.

Remuneration
$59,644 - $69,061 per annum plus superannuation
