About the role
Council is currently searching for two Reliability Engineer's across the Civil and Mechanical discipline to provide direction to employees and assist management with the alignment of strategic, operational and organisational objectives throughout designated business Units.
This will be achieved through identifying and managing asset reliability risks that could adversely affect Central Coast Council's ability to deliver our levels of service.
Your focus as Council's Reliability Engineer will be on achieving the lowest whole of life costs for the asset base by optimising interventions in consultation with the operations and asset teams.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Degree qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or related field, combined with ongoing professional development.
- A valid Construction General Induction Card (White Card) - NSW SafeWork or equivalent.
- A current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Strong experience in maintenance reliability methods.
- The ability to identify and develop initiatives for continuous improvements.

Other important information
- The salary range for this position ranges between $99.7k to $119.6k per annum (dependent on skills and experience) plus 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance (in accordance with the Award) plus 11.5% superannuation
- We have a permanent full-time role available.
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite.
- This role is located at the Nexus Business Hub, North Wyong.
Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
