Do you want to play a vital role in enhancing road safety outcomes for regional communities in Western Australia?

If you are ready for a career that makes a meaningful impact, consider joining WALGA and support RoadWise Councils in implementing national and state road safety objectives.

We're seeking someone with an understanding of regional communities who has excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to build productive relationships.

What will a typical week look like?

As a Road Safety Advisor, building and maintaining relationships with RoadWise Councils is crucial. You will leverage your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with and provide direct assistance and support to these councils.

Additionally, you will utilise your research and analytical skills to source evidence-based information, aiding Local Governments in developing holistic road safety approaches.

By promoting and showcasing the activities of RoadWise Councils, you will share knowledge and insights across the Local Government sector, inspiring and motivating best practice and innovation.

This position involves travel within WA and will require a class ‘C’ Western Australian driver's license and car provided.

What is RoadWise?

• Providing direct assistance and support to RoadWise Councils,

• Sharing information and facilitating the transfer of knowledge,

• Inspiring and motiving best practice, and

• Developing sector policy and advocating on behalf of Local Governments and their communities.
