About the Opportunity

An exciting and new opportunity has been established as an experienced Senior Assets Engineer responsible for the delivery, planning and management of building assets including providing expert advice, ensuring building assets are effectively managed in terms of approvals, timelines, procurement rules, risks, and budget.

The Senior Asset Engineer - Building will identify and prioritise Council assets using a place-based approach that takes a cross-sectoral view of the interrelated infrastructure and amenity needs of a location. This exciting opportunity will see you develop building assets management and maintenance plans and schedules and assist the City Operational services business unit with the implementation. 

What we Offer

  • Permanent, Full-Time - 70 hours per fortnight
  • Salary from $110,031.86 to $127,488.43 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation
  • 3.5% Civil Liability allowance

What we are looking for

Qualifications, Certificates & Licences

  • Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, Architecture, project management or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer or should be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in accordance with the NSW registration laws, where applicable.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Construction Induction (White Card)

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience in asset management and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Consultants.
  • Understanding of risk allocation and the management of WHS in the workplace.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of EEO policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience with forward works programming, financial control, and budget preparation.
  • Sound knowledge of PC applications software.
  • Sound knowledge of appropriate Australian Standards.
