The Opportunity
As a Senior Asset Management Analyst you will be responsible for management of the City of Perth’s infrastructure and buildings assets. The position ensures the City’s corporate asset systems and data are proactively managed and improved within a structured framework that allows the City to effectively manage the performance of its asset portfolio.
The position will play a pivotal role in the development of the City’s Asset Management Plans. The Asset Management Plans will form the medium to long term asset management outlook that reflects the City’s corporate direction and the community’s requirements.
Reporting to the Asset Management Lead within our Infrastructure & Assets team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing effective Asset Management Plans;
- Supporting the creation and implementation of corporate strategies and procedures related to asset management, information management, business continuity, operational and performance reporting, and data integrity;
- Establishing service levels for City assets, considering risk, customer expectations, and available budgets, while also creating mechanisms to monitor, measure, and report performance against these service levels in collaboration with stakeholders; and
- Working with the Finance Unit to prepare and present annual asset management budget packs, and contributing to financial decision-making processes for asset valuation.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Knowledge and experience of asset management practices in a local government (or similar) environment;
- Knowledge of building or infrastructure construction practices;
- Experience using an asset management system software or computerised maintenance management software; and
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to extensively identify, report, design and scope changes which will bring significant business and system improvement.
