Senior Assets Officer – Community Property and Open Space

This key position plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing Council assets through strategic planning, budgeting and effective management of building and open space infrastructure. You will work closely with various departments to ensure assets are maintained, upgraded and managed efficiently to meet community needs.

About this role:
- Coordinates the implementation of our capital works programs on buildings and assets managed by Council's Parks and Active Communities Unit.
- Develops and implement systems and procedures for the life cycle management of assets.
- Ensures Councils assets meet quality standards in an efficient and timely manner.
- Prepare tender specifications and act as Project Principle for asset renewals, upgrade and maintenance works on Councils buildings and other assets.

We are seeking:
- Industry experience in either Building/property management or asset management.
- Knowledge of Health and Building legislation related to Local Government.
- Experience with contract and project management.
- Experience within an Open Space and/or Sport and Recreation related role.

This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
