Position Number: 4503                     Location: Queanbeyan

The Package: $115,044.28 - $127,118.16 gross per annum + 11.5% super inclusive of Market Premium. (Evaluated as Grade 16 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Fulltime– 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

Are you looking to help make a positive contribution to your local community? Council is seeking a professional to join us as a Senior Building Surveyor.

In this role you will:

• Protect the environment and uphold community standards through effective development and building assessment
• Provide professional advice on Development and Building Surveying matters to Council, the public, developers, and government authorities
• Maintain an efficient approval system and building inspection service
• Offer complex technical support to the Development Control Team

We are looking for someone who:

• Possess and maintains a Building Surveyor – Restricted (Class 1 and 10 buildings) accreditation under NSW Fair Trading
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the Local Government Act and NSW Environmental Planning legislation
• Is proficient in the use of technology and records management systems.
• Can communicate clearly in oral and written form, with colleagues and external stakeholders.
