We are seeking an experienced and professional Senior Building Surveyor with a passion for our mixed urban/rural environment.

Reporting to the Coordinator Building Services in a small and vibrant team, some of your core functions include:

• Assessing all types of all statutory building application types within statutory timeframes and ensure compliance with the Building Code of Australia, State legislation, local government policies and any other regulatory requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service in the form of friendly and accurate building advice to both internal and external customers.
• Prepare building permits, demolition permits, and occupancy permits for supervisor review.
• Conduct site inspection's, including pool barrier inspection.
• Conduct investigations into the compliance of Buildings.

Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:

• Registered Level 1 or 2 Building Surveyor
• Experience with state building legislation, BCA and other relevant requirements.
• The ability to mentor and coach other team members.
• Excellent conflict resolution skills, and an ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• The ability to work in a small but vibrant team environment.
• Experience in the use multiple software platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A commitment to providing high level of internal and external customer service.
