About the opportunity
We have an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced, resilient and innovative leader to join us as the Senior Coordinator City Image.
You will play a large role in delivering our vision to be the best Council in Australia. This is a brilliant opportunity to deliver high-quality services to our community, and to be the key lead to deliver civil asset maintenance activities.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- experience in local government, particularly in dealing with city image day labour and contractors
- experience working with unions
- well developed conflict resolution skills
- a solid track record in previous positions
- an excellent customer service record
- knowledge about mobility and telematics.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in an environmental, community, waste management, or related field
- Relevant experience working with diverse stakeholders on projects and strategies that reduce the incidence of litter, dumping of rubbish and graffiti in public spaces
- Experience coordinating operational and supervisory staff
- Experience coordinating contractors
- Experience coordinating agency partnerships including Corrective Services & Juvenile Justice
- Experience coordinating volunteers
- Experience managing operational and project budgets
- Experience implementing digital / on-line field technologies for managing workflow and reporting purposes
- Current class C driver's licence.
Desirable:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Local Government
- Knowledge of relevant NSW Legislation including Graffiti Control Act 2008, Local Government Act 1993 and Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997
- WHS General Induction for Construction in NSW (white/green card).
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $2,426.22 per week
- 35-hour working week
