Senior Development Compliance Officer

 

  • Salary $106,323.88 to $123,335.16 p/a + super
  • Permanent Full Time (35 hours p/w)

About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader – Compliance, Health & Building, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that development and land use in Ku-ring-gai complies with relevant legislation, planning instruments, Council policies and development consents
  • Investigation and reporting of illegal building works and non-complying development
  • Audit of completed developments to ensure continued compliance with conditions
  • Issue Penalty Infringements, Notices, Orders, certificates and correspondence from investigations and substantiated complaints in accordance with relevant legislation
  • Collection of evidence for presentation to the courts

 

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in building construction and inspection, development control, land use or a related discipline
  • Eligiblity for accreditation as a Building Surveyor on the Fair Trading NSW Register
  • Experience in regulation and management of development and land use within a similar organisation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policies
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
