Senior Finance Officer

Permanent Part time position

Salary: $58,952 to $66,018 per annum (part-time position based on 25 hours per week), plus superannuation and flexible working arrangement provisions.

Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. About the role

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic professional to be part of a dynamic team which supports the organisation by ensuring that Council’s daily bank reconciliation and other monthly reconciliations are completed in a timely and accurate manner. The role will also assist with financial systems and the preparation of data for annual statutory reporting purposes.

About you

We require an enthusiastic individual with highly developed analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail who has the ability to complete important reconciliations within agreed deadlines. This role forms an important part of the finance branch by ensuring that payments are receipted and banked accurately. This role is part of a diverse and dynamic team of professionals reporting to a manager with both public and private accounting experience.

The successful candidate is required to have a minimum of a Certificate 4 in Accounting and Bookkeeping or a relevant Tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, economics or other related disciplines.
