Council is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Officer to provide advice and support in achieving the key objectives of the Council’s Financial Services Unit. In this role, you will ensure Council’s financial functions are maintained in compliance with legislation,  manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and the end of the period reconciliations. 

Other key responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices and month-end tasks.
  • Control and maintain creditors and debtors master files.
  • Deliver effective customer service, including telephone, counter enquiries, and correspondence, in a courteous and professional manner.

Remuneration

$68,740 - $79,594 per annum, plus superannuation

About You

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Accounting, Financial Management, Business Management, or a related field. You should have strong attention to detail, the ability to accurately review your own work, and demonstrated experience in an accounting environment, particularly in accounts payable and receivable. Additionally, experience managing month-end processes and maintaining accurate financial records is essential.
