Clarence Valley Council is seeking a dynamic Senior People and Culture Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior People & Culture Officer to join our team. This role will have a focus on recruitment and initiatives that attract, retain, and develop talent. You will work closely with the Coordinator People, Culture and Workforce Strategy to implement creative and forward-thinking recruitment solutions to meet current and future workforce needs.
You will provide professional advice and expertise in a range of human resource activities while working constructively with leadership teams to develop a highly engaged and productive workforce through successful people initiatives via a business partnering approach for the whole employee journey. These include performance management, employee engagement and culture, contemporary policy, procedure and program development, capability development, and workforce planning.
About you- Ideally, you would have Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or proven experience in a human resource or recruitment role, preferably within local government. You will have the ability to demonstrate success in delivering recruitment strategies and workforce planning solutions as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.

- Q1. Provide an example of a specific process or system you created or improved. Explain the purpose of the work undertaken, the steps you took, who else you worked with and the results.
Q2. Provide an example of when you were required to work in a challenging environment. What made it challenging and what did you do to motivate yourself?

This position is located at Council's Grafton office, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
A probation period applies to this position.
