Salary: $109,844.08 to $120,361.01 plus 11.5% super and lease back vehicle or vehicle allowance

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Council’s Development Assessment team for an experienced and energetic Senior Planning Advisory Officers. If you are looking to expand on your knowledge of the development assessment process and the provision of planning advice within a fast growing LGA, then look no further.
The primary function of this position will be to provide high quality planning, building and development advice and development assessment services to the Liverpool community. The position will suit self-motivated and experienced planners, building surveyors who have excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor other staff within a team environment. This position is for career focused individuals who are willing to accept the challenge of providing a high level of service to the Liverpool community.
About You
This role is ideal for candidates that possess the following:
- Experience in Development Assessment, Building Surveying, and the provision of planning advice to the community is considered necessary to ensure the desired level of expertise/knowledge to adequately carry out the functions of the position.
- Experience communicating with various internal and external stakeholders including the ability to deal with the community and professional industry to achieve the best possible outcome.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret Acts and policies and to make appropriate decisions bearing in mind the circumstances and the legislative requirements.
- Experience processing planning related enquiries.
- Experience and ability to work in a team environment.

Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant. This position also comes with a leaseback vehicle or a vehicle allowance.
