Salary: $88,907.72 to $97,420.16 pa + 11.5% Super + Council Leaseback Vehicle

ABOUT THE ROLE
Liverpool City Council is seeking Senior Ranger to join our Community Standards Department to assist in the investigation of sensitive and complex regulatory Ranger matters including dog attacks and animal management related issues. This role also requires promoting Council’s public image and educating the community to enhance the amenity of the area, maintain public safety, and ensure compliance with Council’s statutes.
The role will also see you:
- Respond to complex complaints and service requests
- Assisting the coordinator in instructing and coordinating the Regulatory Services team activities.
- Provide technical advice, support, guidance and coaching to team members
- Assist the coordinator in preparing community education programs
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you must have
- Certificate IV in Regulatory Services,
- Current Class C Driver’s License
- Extensive experience in a Council Regulatory enforcement role.
- Extensive experience in sensitive and complex ranger service matters. This includes conducting investigations and making accurate observations, recording details, taking statements and records of interview, and all other pertinent information in a legally defensible manner.
- Extensive experience in preparing briefs of evidence and court attendance/court procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in setting priorities, managing time and competing priorities to optimise results.
- Demonstrated experience in providing strong customer service, including the ability to deal with sensitive issues in a tactful manner, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
- Demonstrated experience in use of Computer programs – ie Microsoft Office, Trim, Pathways and Pinforce.
