Cabonne Council has an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team as the Finance Officer.

This position is responsible for the functions and duties of accounts receivable, assisting the rates department with customer service to Cabonne Council's ratepayers as well as assisting the payroll department to provide efficient and accurate payroll services to our staff.

This role is a full-time role, based out of the Molong office.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Class C driver’s licence.

Desirable

  • Certificate III or above in Financial Servies or Business Administration qualifications.

Skills & Experience:

Preferably at least two years’ experience in a similar role, with:

  • Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable functions.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the functions of payroll.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial accounting software.
  • Proven experience in data entry with a demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft excel and word.
  • Well-developed cash handling skills and awareness of security issues.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated high level of communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with customers.
  • Ability resolve conflict including handling difficult customers.
  • Highly systematic and organised approach to work with strong prioritisation and time management skills.

    Other details relating to this position:

    • This position is graded 4-5 ($1096.20- $1244.20 gross per week).
