Position Overview

We are excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to join our Sport and Leisure Services team as a Cadet. This position will allow you to work alongside experienced professionals in sport management, where you will learn essential skills in facility management, strategic planning, and community engagement. You will assist in implementing key actions from our strategic plans while gaining valuable administrative and operational experience.

As a Sports and Leisure Services Cadet, you will have the chance to conduct data analysis, support the development of management plans, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance our community's access to sport and leisure facilities. This role provides a unique learning experience that spans multiple departments, ensuring a holistic approach to your professional development.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Currently in your penultimate or final year of a Bachelor of Sports Management.
  • Possess a Class C Driver’s Licence.
  •  A demonstrated commitment to completing tertiary qualifications and achieving full professional accreditation in sport management.
  • Exceptional organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Have a passion for customer service and community engagement.

As a successful candidate, you will thrive in a collaborative environment, exhibit strong problem-solving skills, and possess a keen interest in the sport and leisure sector. Your ability to build relationships with community groups and stakeholders will be key to your success in this role.

  • Package: from $59,700 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Up to 2 years full time temporary contract.  35 hours per week with option of 19 day flexitime arrangement
