About the opportunity
We are seeking 4 self-driven and experienced Street Cleaning Operators to join our Street Cleaning team on a casual basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Manual and mechanical street sweeping
- Cleaning shopping precincts
- Litter collection
- Emptying public rubbish bins
- Dead animal collection
- Removing illegal dumping.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Relevant accreditations in a related field
- Current class HR driver’s licence.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in waste management collection and/or removal or similar field
- Relevant experience and appropriate qualifications in accordance with requirements outlined in the position description
- Well-developed communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to locate properties using a street directory, directions and signage
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Availability to work flexible working hours.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $31.9550 per hour plus 25% casual loading and penalty rates apply for weekend shifts
