The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a conscientious individual to manage water supply and sewer assets, as well as lead staff to achieve asset management and strategic business plan objectives. This would involve undertaking business development, strategic business plans, financial modelling and coordinating resources necessary to achieve maintenance objectives and capital works delivery outcomes. 

As Superintendent - Assets and Strategy (Water and Sewer), you will develop and implement Asset Management plans, Long-term Financial Plans, Strategic Business Plans and Development Servicing Plans; as well as prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for submission to the Manager of Water and Sewer Services. You will evaluate tenders, award contracts, and perform the role of BVSC Representative in relation to management of various contracts.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Degree level qualification in engineering, science or relevant related discipline and has a current NSW Class C Drivers Licence.

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of water supply and sewerage system network operations, management and administration.
  • High-level demonstrated leadership and management of mid-sized teams of people and contract staff.
  • Advanced knowledge of the NSW Government Regulatory environment associated with water supply and sewerage.
  • High level written, verbal and computer literacy skills.

Benefits

This is a permanent full time position working 35 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $141,714.72 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $2,444.20 per week base salary
  • $281.08 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
