  • Salary $91,656.76 to $106,322.32 p/a + super
  • 38 hours per week/9 day fortnight

About the role

Council is seeking a proactive and experienced Supervisor - Drainage Maintenance to join our dedicated team.

 

As the Supervisor - Drainage Maintenance, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of drainage systems across Ku-ring-gai.

 

You will lead a team to ensure timely and efficient maintenance, repair, and installation of drainage systems, helping to protect the environment and improve the safety and functionality of our community.

 

Reporting to the Coordinator Road Services, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and coordinate drainage maintenance and repair activities
  • Manage a team of workers, ensuring high levels of performance, safety, and compliance
  • Oversee the inspection and assessment of drainage infrastructure, including stormwater systems, pipes, culverts, and pits
  • Prepare reports, schedules, and maintenance plans
  • Ensure that work is completed in compliance with council policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to manage projects
  • Provide technical advice and support on drainage-related issues

 

Skills & experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering and/or equivalent experience
  • Traffic Control Certificates (Prepare a Work zone Traffic management Plan/ Implement Traffic Control Plans/Traffic Controller) or willingness to undertake training
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
  • WHS Construction Induction Certificate
  • Knowledge of Local Government engineering operations
  • Working knowledge and experience in drainage maintenance
