Your Role: A Leader in Metal Fabrication

The Supervisor plays a crucial role in our Fleet & Facility Operations unit. You will work closely with the Coordinator, Fleet & Logisitics, and your team to oversee repairs, upgrades, and new projects on Council's assets.

You will have the opportunity to mentor and develop your team, allocate daily tasks, identify service gaps, and implement improvements that enhance our operations. Your expertise in metal fabrication will be invaluable as you assist your team with hands-on tasks when needed and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and coordinating daily operations while prioritising tasks to meet team goals.
  • Mentoring and developing team members to foster a performance-driven culture.
  • Identifying service gaps and recommending improvements for enhanced efficiency.
  • Engaging with external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Trade Certificate in Metal Fabrication or Welding/Boilermaker (Cert 3).
  • Trade experience in maintenance and fabrication.
  • Supervisory experience and a solid understanding of health and safety policies.
  • Certificate IV in Management or Project Management would be advantageous.

  • Package: From $85,500 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Permanent full time 38 hours per week with a 9 day fortnight
