We are seeking an experienced Supervisor of Parks and Streetscapes to join and lead a team of Town Maintenance Officers. This role is responsible for prioritising and supervising the work activities of maintenance staff, specifically relating to trees, irrigation, spraying and playground equipment. The role works in consultation with, and reporting to, the Coordinator Parks, Assets & Arbor.
On offer is an annual salary range of $82,722.07 - 85,222.42 per annum (dependent on skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation. And because we know that working in a fabulous environment with a quiet rural outlook is not everything, here are some other great benefits.

We are looking for a hardworking individual; with the experience and skills to lead a team. As Supervisor Parks and Streetscapes, some of your key functions will include:
- Supervising work activities of Town Maintenance Officers for both scheduled and reactive maintenance
- Assisting with maintaining consistent team levels by reviewing resources and participating in interviews.
- Conducting performance appraisals on an annual basis, and ensuring regular communication and guidance is provided to staff members to monitor performance.
- Keeping accurate records of all actions and interaction with ratepayers.
- Carry out inspections of Town Maintenance Officer work as required or directed.
- Assist the Co-ordinator of Parks, Assets & Arbor in managing the storage, manifest and use of chemicals for Pest Control within the Shires operations
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:
- Certificate in Horticulture, Turf, Arboriculture, or similar.
- Strong supervisory and skills and experience, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Extensive experience in quality control of horticulture, parks, and streetscapes maintenance.
- Experience in working to maintenance schedules.
- Demonstrated time management, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- High level verbal and written communication skills incorporating the use of the MS Office suite.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to develop team skills in this area.
- Current "MR" class driver's licence.
In addition, possession of the below is desirable;
- Extensive Experience in Managing Pesticides to the WA department of Health Guidelines
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management, or similar.
- Certificate in AHCPGD311 Conduct operational inspection of park facilities
- Licenced Pest Management Technician Classed as Pest and weed control (mechanical equipment)
- Sound ability to correctly interpret Parks and Gardens drawings / specifications.
- Experience in the use of Technology One software.
- First aid certification.
- "HR" class driver's licence.
