About the opportunity
Blacktown City Council is launching a brand-new food & garden waste service, and we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Supervisor - Waste Services to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is the biggest waste change in our community in 30 years!
In this key role, you will lead, coordinate & roster a team of operational staff and contractors, ensuring the smooth delivery of the new waste service. Your proactive leadership will drive performance, safety compliance, and exceptional customer service while supporting the Council’s environmental and community goals.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Thorough working knowledge and experience of work procedures related to the delivery of operational works
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of operational staff
- Experience in rostering operational staff and equipment
- Current class HR driver's licence.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,730.04 per week
- 38-hour working week
- Rostered Day Off (RDO) every month
