Swimming Pool Officer

  • Full Time Permanent position – enjoy a 9-day fortnight.

  • $89,590.39 to $100,341.48 per annum plus superannuation

About the role

The City Life directorate delivers personalised and public services to enhance community life, including family, aged, leisure and cultural services.

Undertake swimming pool inspections and maintain register to ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation.  This role is responsible for educating and increasing public awareness in regard to swimming pool safety and legislative requirements.

About you

Reporting to the Coordinator – Program Certification, the successful candidate will see themselves:

  • Devise and manage a swimming pool inspection and reporting program that reflects Council’s commitment to the community and stakeholders, responding to NSW state government legislation and requirements.
  • Maintain data on swimming pool register and Council systems to ensure completeness of information.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints and requests for information from the community, consultants and other stakeholders regarding swimming pool safety.

Investigate, prepare and present prosecution briefs of evidence as required for court or tribunal hearings.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Required qualifications under the NSW Fair Trading Accreditation Scheme for E1 level and equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation.
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
