About the role

Are you ready to take the plunge into a rewarding leadership role that blends your passion for aquatics with your expertise in team and facility management?  We have a full-time, permanent opportunity to step into the driver’s seat of our Aquatics team at Riverton and Cannington Leisureplexes!

Reporting to the Coordinator Operations, this is your chance to lead a dynamic team and ensure excellence in everything from aquatic operations and pool plant maintenance, to delivering top tier customer service in two of the cities bustling leisure destinations.

What you’ll be doing

In this pivotal role, you will oversee day-to-day management of aquatic operations, ensuring that our facilities are running like a well-oiled machine. From the maintenance of our pool plants to the seamless execution of aquatic programs, you’ll be the go-to leader ensuring excellence across the board. Whether it’s coordinating the safety and wellbeing of our patrons or ensuring the team is providing exceptional customer service, your leadership will be key to creating an outstanding aquatic experience.

About you

  • Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse team, manage for performance, and motivate and inspire staff
  • In-depth knowledge of pool and plant operations, water quality management, and aquatic safety standards
  • Experience in preparing budgets, reports and monitoring and controlling costs
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment, and make quick and informed decisions in emergency situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong customer service orientation
  • Current Pool Operations Certificate (Aquatic Technical Operations)
  • LIWA Accreditation
