About the role

The role of Team Leader Community Programs is to oversee the day-to-day work and functioning of the team undertaking operational work or service provision, and to collaborate with others to complete the programs and projects of the section. This will be achieved through coordinating and directing the Community Programs team, to develop and deliver quality services, programs and initiatives with the aim to meet community priorities, build community capacity and improve quality of life for the Central Coast community.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Coordinate and develop appropriate work plans for the Community Programs team that meet identified community needs, contribute to economic prosperity and improved social outcomes for the community
  • Provide leadership and direction for the Community Programs team to enable the successful planning and implementation of quality advice, programs and services
  • Develop and maintain strong and productive working relationships with the cultural, creative arts and Indigenous community and related community organisations
  • Coordinate, monitor and prioritise workloads so that all work is delivered in an effective and efficient manner within agreed timeframes and budgets

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree qualification in Social Science, Community Development or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in coordinating the development and delivery of community and cultural programs, combined with ongoing professional development
  • Working with Children Check

Other important information

  • Competitive salary commencing from $99.8k - dependent on qualification, skills and experience plus 11.5% superannuation 
  • We have a permanent full-time role. 
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
