Team Leader Library Customer Service

1x Permanent Full Time - 35 hours, days per week over a 7 day bandwith
Salary: $96,528.45 - $105,770.45 + 11.5% super
Closing Date: 14 March 2025

About the Role:

Liverpool Council’s Library and Museum Services operates six libraries, including the Internationally recognised Yellamundie, Library and Gallery, Finalist in the IFLA International Public Library of the year 2024. The service welcomes more than 600,000 in person visitors per year, and nearly 900,000 loans.

 

The Team Leader Library Customer Service ensures delivery of best practice customer service across our libraries.  Based at Yellamundie, the position is responsible for maintaining and communicating procedures, monitoring service standards and coordinating staff training to support customer service. The position also supports operations at Yellamundie and across the service, working with the Team Leader Branch Support on rostering and problem solving.

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • Completion of degree or post -graduate level library and Information Studies, conferring eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated experience in supervision and management of Library staff
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and overseeing the delivery of front line library customer services Demonstrated experience in innovation and leadership of change management
  • Highly developed skills in training needs assessment, planning and delivery of staff development programs Excellent communication skills, including documentation of procedures
  • Negotiation skills and conflict resolution with ability to problem solve during difficult customer interactions Understanding of public library environment, and current library issues and practices.

 Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant.
