Your Role:
As the Team Leader Nightshift - Sanitation/Street Cleaning, you’ll provide administrative and supervisory support for night shift sanitation and street cleaning across the City. This will primarily include coordinating staff and contractors to ensure effective as well as efficient operations whilst preparing, monitoring and updating work programs and schedules. Reporting to the Nightshift Supervisor, you’ll be instrumental in keeping our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under direction from the Supervisor Nightshift, plan and schedule the allocation of resources and assist in the effective supervision of the collection and disposal of all forms of refuse and litter, as well as the cleaning of streets and public areas under the City’s control;
- Ensure all staff and contractors operate in accordance with Work Health & Safety and Equal Opportunity legislation, policies, and practices;
- Drive and operate a variety of waste and street cleaning plant and equipment; and
- Operate waste collection plant, engage in removal of illegal dumping, and perform manual litter collection as needed to ensure service standards are achieved.
